The James Haycraft, I, Family Association was officially Incorporated as a not for profit Corporation in 1999. Prior to the Incorporation of the James Haycraft, I, Family Association in 1999 the Haycraft Family was organized and had an annual Haycraft Reunion to conduct business and to meet and enjoy some time with their family. The Business of the James Haycraft, I, Family Association was to collect annual dues, donations, sponsor the Haycraft Family Association Auction, elect officers and appoint committees. The money collected by the Haycraft Family Association has been spent to maintain cemeteries, graves and to replace grave headstones of family members. In addition the James Haycraft, I, Family Association donates money each year to organizations in Elizabethtown that are associated with the Haycraft Family such as Greenspace, Inc. which maintain the Haycraft Mill Park, The Haycraft Nature Trail, The Haycraft Fort, etc. and the Brown Pusey House as well as many additional worthy causes and organizations that have a direct relationship with the James Haycraft, I, Family Association Interests. The primary purpose of The James Haycraft, I, Family Association to exchange family genealogy data so that we can better understand our ancestors and enjoy our families. As a side benefit of being a member of the James Haycraft, I, Family Association you get to be of service to the organization by participating in the organizations activities. So join and become a member get the James Haycraft, I, Family Association quarterly newsletter and come to our annual Haycraft Reunion and join us. I must caution you because we are always looking for officers and committee members but it’s a real kick. |
